Did you know that Stéarinerie Dubois was founded in Paris in 1820 by Théodose Dubois?
Originally, the company manufactured stearic candles, one of the major technological innovations of this era marked by the industrial revolution. The business is still run by the direct descendants of the founder.
In 2020, we will be 200 years old! To prepare for this anniversary, we welcome a trainee from the Master “Sources and valuation of corporate heritage” of the University Paris-Saclay. She gathers and organizes information and iconography that will allow us to trace two centuries of the company’s history.
