EU Chemicals Policy REACh (Regulation 1907/2006)
In response to your request on the status of Stearinerie Dubois related to the REACh regulation we want to inform, as you are aware that this legislation will impose obligations for both chemical suppliers and for their customers, which is why Dubois is constantly monitoring the latest developments with this regulation.
REACh regulation entered into force in June 2007, and a pre-registration period (1st June 2008 to 30th November 2008) is the first obligation.
This condition permits to use the transition periods to produce and market up to 2010, 2013 and 2018 depending on product volumes.
Since the 1st June 2008, Stearinerie Dubois have pre registered all substances manufactured and imported in order to avoid product shortages for our customers during this interim phase.

As a future registrant, Stearinerie Dubois is already working in pre consortia called APAG (Cefic group), in European Federation for Cosmetics Ingredients (EFfCI) and we expect no changes to our product range, due to REACh, up to 2010.
As you know the registration of substances requires information on exposures and risks for downstream users and we are grateful of your important assistance in this regard.
